November 17-21 is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week and JUMP is offering a number of volunteer and educational opportunities throughout the week.
Here is list for all the volunteer events that are available for students:
Monday: 11/17/2014
Volunteer at Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB): Volunteers will take a tour of the largest food bank in Sonoma County, and then assist with packaging and sorting food.
Time: 4:30pm to 7pm
Documentary: Homeless Kids of Orange County: Join us by watching a documentary made by Stand Up for Kids, about poverty stricken families within the Los Angeles County. Place: Sonoma Valley Room 2nd floor of Student Center.
Time: 7:00pm to 9:30pm @ Sonoma Valley Room 2nd floor of Student Center
Tuesday: 11/18/2014
Speaker from COTS: Warren Theuret: Speaker from Committee on the Shelterless, sharing his experience about the reality of being homelessness and how COTS helped him escape it.
Time: 7:30pm to 8:30pm @ Sonoma Valley Room 2nd floor of Student Center
Family Support Center: We will have an opportunity to help with one of their many projects that they would like our assistance on.
Time: 4:30pm to 7pm
Wednesday: 11/19/2014
NOAH: This a food pantry located in Rohnert Park that students will help package and distribute food to people.
Time: 3:30pm to 6:30pm @ Campus Garden

Canned Food Drive: JUMP will be tabling from 12-1pm on November 17- November 22 in the Seawolf Plaza to collected canned goods!
