41% of trans people have attempted to commit suicide at least once. A trans woman is murder every 29 hours. This event is one step closer to understanding the struggles of trans individuals and combating the statistics. Join us as we remember those who have passed, as well as celebrate those who are here and with us now! We will start out with a gallery to honor lives lost in the Trans Community and local resources will be tabling their information and services. During the panel portion we will hear from individuals, from SSU and Positive Images, about their challenges and struggles being Trans in our society. We will conclude the evening with an empowering visibility and honoring march through campus. For those interested in sharing community and continuing the conversation there will be a closing discussion at the HUB with refreshments.
