The CSU Student Research Competition is held annually to showcase the outstanding scholarly and creative research accomplishments of both undergraduate and graduate students across all disciplines and includes scholars from all 23 California State University campuses.
Sonoma State University (SSU) is holding an internal competition in order to identify 10 projects that will represent our campus at this year’s system-wide competition at CSU Fullerton on April 26th & 27th, 2019. Please note that the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs will pay approved travel costs for students chosen to represent SSU at this event.
At the event, student participants make 10-minute oral presentations before juries comprised of professional experts from the private and public sectors and academics in the particular fields being judged. Participation in this event is an excellent way to gain experience in presenting your research and will enhance your resume or curriculum vitae (CV).
Research in the following categories is encouraged to apply:
• Behavioral and Social Sciences
• Biological and Agricultural Sciences
• Business, Economics, and Public Administration
• Creative Arts and Design
• Education
• Engineering and Computer Science
• Health, Nutrition, and Clinical Sciences
• Humanities and Letters
• Physical and Mathematical Sciences
• Interdisciplinary
The application deadline is Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:59 p.m.
Please note that your research does not need to be complete by the February 22nd deadline in order to apply, but your research should be substantially complete by the April 26th & 27th competition at CSU Fullerton so that research results can be reported.
