Come take part in an interactive dining experience. This hunger banquet is designed to encourage a deeper understanding of world food distribution and wealth distribution. When students arrive to the hunger banquet, they draw tickets at random that assign each person to a high-, middle-, or low-income tier based on the latest statistics about the number of people living in poverty. Each income level receives a corresponding meal. After the meals are finished, students are invited to share their thoughts about the experience and to take action regarding food insecurity and wealth distribution.
