Sonoma State is now supporting CalFresh outreach as part of our Basic Needs program and you could be eligible for CalFresh*.  CalFresh could be worth up to $150 a month in assistance to buy groceries. A CalFresh card is as easy to use as a debit card and we will help you with the application process.

As many as 40% of all college students are food insecure. There is no reason not to take advantage of your eligibility. You could have up to $150 more a month to help you buy food.

On February 27, 2019, we will be having a CalFresh Festival to help students fill out their applications, collect needed documents, and meet resources providers from the campus and the community.

* If you are on a campus meal plan that provides more than 11 meals a week, you are not currently eligible for CalFresh but you should contact us for an appointment as soon as you are no longer on a meal plan.
