Exploring Neurodiversity

Discussion about neurodiversity-a concept that embraces individuals differences in brain function and behavioral traits as part of the normal variation of the human population. The neurodiversity movement, originally focusing on people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, emphasizes the strengths of neurodiverse people and how the world can benefit from their unique ways of thinking.  Their talents can contribute to a society’s innovation, productivity and to a world of diversity. Further discussion of how SSU can support these students will also be discussed.
