The HUB Cultural Center
This three-part discussion-based workshop series invites participants to consider what creating an equitable space for all bodies, especially fat bodies, looks like. Participants will learn about anti-fatness, anti-fatness’s connection to other forms of oppression, and how bias, stereotypes, and discrimination of fat people impact one’s self, interpersonal relationships, and systemic access and barriers. Participants are encouraged to attend as many sessions as they wish!
In the second session, participants will discuss interpersonal relationships, including fetishization, hyper- and desexualization, and desirability politics.
