The Ultimate Study Abroad Guide
Whether you want to get away for a while or immerse yourself in another culture, studying abroad is the way to go during college. The Institute of International Education has nationally ranked Sonoma State University as one of the top five universities for study abroad in the U.S. Follow these steps to kickstart your study abroad adventure ASAP.
Step 1: Attend an Information Meeting
Learn about different program options, requirements and deadlines. To attend one of these meetings, sign-up in person at the Center for International Education in International Hall 107 or call the front desk at (707) 664-2582 to sign-up.
Step 2: One-on-one Appointment with Advisor
Meeting with an advisor will help you choose the best program for your major and academic goals. This is the time to ask questions about requirements, create an application timeline and establish your anticipated graduation date.
Step 3: Attend an Application Workshop
If you want to make sure you get into your top study abroad choice, this workshop will help you polish your application and increase your chances of being accepted!
Step 4: Application Approval Appointment
During this one-on-one appointment your application will be reviewed before final submission!
Step 5: Submit your application!
