8 Quick and Easy On-The-Go Snacks

Busy school week? No problem. From quick on-campus pick-up’s, to snacks made at home, we’ve put together a list of our top favorite meals and snacks to bring/eat when you are on a time crunch this semester.

Late to your early morning class?

Off-Campus: Homemade Trail Mix

If you have free time over the weekend, making homemade trail mix is a great way to prep on-the-go breakfasts for the week. We like to grab nuts, seeds, dried fruit and chocolate to mix together. The fun part is, it’s up to you what to put in it! Prepackage the mix into baggies and they will be ready to go for the whole week!

On-Campus: Breakfast Sandwiches

If you’re alarm didn’t go off and you have to run out the door, Sip is a good option to stop at and grab a breakfast sandwich before class. Your hunger will be satisfied.

Class all day and no time to go home for lunch?

Off-Campus: Build Your Own Bistro Box

This is one of our favorite snacks and is so easy to bring to campus. Before heading out for the day, grab some meat (salami, turkey, etc.), cheese, grains (crackers, popcorn, pita bread etc.) and some fresh fruits and veggies to organize into a reusable container! Lunch hangries will be gone after eating this.

On-Campus: Panini + Soup

If you didn’t have time to pack a lunch, Charlie Brown’s Cafe or Overlook are great places to stop and grab a panini (both meat and no meat options available) and a soup of the day. This will be sure to fill you up. Overlook is located on the third floor of the Student Center, and Charlie Brown’s is located beneath the library!

Crashing Mid-Afternoon?

Off-Campus: Homemade Guacamole

This is the easiest snack! Mash up 1-2 avocados with 1/2 lemon, garlic salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Throw the mix into a reusable container and put the pit in the middle (to prevent browning) If possible, putting an ice pack near the container to keep it fresh all day.

On-Campus: University Store Snacks.

The University Store has every snack you could think of, from hummus to granola bars to Naked Juices to ice cream! This is a great place to stop by if you’re professor gives you a break during class.

Trying to catch dinner before your night class?

Off-Campus: Quesadillas

Grab some tortillas and cheese and throw together a quesadilla. If you have an extra five minutes, put some veggies, salsa, beans and meat (if you want) in with the cheese and melt it altogether! Wrap it in foil and you’ll have yourself a mini dinner on the drive to your night class!

On-Campus: The Kitchens

If you have extra time between your afternoon and night class, but not enough time to go home, The Kitchens is a great place to fill up. With a wide variety of options, there is something for everyone!
