Career Fest: Everything You Should Know

Whether you are a first-year student just exploring future opportunities, or you are a senior looking for a full-time position, we invite everyone to attend the 2020 Career Fest!

This fest is made up of so many different events to help YOU get a head start on your future! Here’s a timeline of all the events:


Career Fest Workshops:

  • 3/2: Resume Workshop, 12 p.m., Career Center

  • 3/5: Resume Workshop, 12 p.m., Career Center

  • 3/9: Resume & Interview Workshop, 12 p.m., Career Center; Hosted by Enterprise Holdings

  • 3/10: Prepare for the Fair Workshop, 12 p.m., Career Center, Hosted by Youngs Market Company


Career Fest Pop-Up:

  • 3/3: Prepare for the Fair Career Pop Up, 11 a.m., Salazar Plaza

  • 3/4: Prepare for the Fair Career Pop Up, 11 a.m., Salazar Plaza

-See a Career Advisor for a 15-minute drop-in appointment

-Get your resume reviewed by a professional advisor

-Check out the Career Clothing Closet for access to professional attire

-Connect with employers who will be attending the career fair

Career Fest: Post-Fair Employer Workshop

  • 3/12: 2:15 - 4 p.m.

    • Russian River Valley - Gallo Sales Company 

    • Knights Valley Room - Play-Well TEKnologies

    • Alexander Valley Room - Target Corporation

After you visit the Career Fairs, use this time to attend one of our employer-hosted workshops to learn more about what it’s like to work at the company, details about the hiring process, and more.


What YOU need to do:

  • Bring copies of your resume

  • Have your elevator pitch ready to go!

  • You can use Handshake to register for the fair(s)

    • Identify companies/organizations that will be in attendance,

    • Search the full-time positions & internships being hired for. 


  • Come dress in business casual or business professional attire!

  • Check out the Career Closet in the Career Center for free business attire!

  • AVOID: pajamas, work-out attire, sweats
