Social Distancing Tips

Social distancing can be hard, especially if you’re away from loved ones or friends. However, it is the best thing to be doing to aid in flattening the curve for COVID-19. Here are some tips for social distancing.

Go out only when necessary.

Things such as essential grocery shopping and walks around the neighborhood are perfectly fine, but other than that, limiting the places you go limits the chances of contracting/spreading COVID-19.

Wait until this is over to hangout with your friends that you are not in quarantine with.

We know, it’s tempting, but expanding the number of people you see and hangout with during this time increases the chance of you, a loved one, or friends getting the virus. The person you’re hanging out with might also be hanging out with others, who are hanging out with others, and so on. Try group FaceTime or Zoom instead!

Respect the 6 foot rule as best you can when you are out getting essentials.

Whether waiting in line, grabbing food, or checking out at the register. The best thing to do is keep 6 feet of space- out of respect for the people around you and for your safety.

If you’re feeling lonely or isolated- call a loved one!

Social distancing doesn’t mean we aren’t able to talk and chat with the ones closest to us. This can help you feel loved and know you aren’t going through this time alone.

Understand that this won’t last forever.

The more we follow the guidelines, the quicker we can get through this and let it pass. It may be tough now, but it is definitely worth it.
