1. Networking

The impact of the Fraternity/Sorority system is one of the best networking opportunities in the world. Whether they are direct sisters or brothers or just simply members of the community you understand each other and you have similar values. Sharing this affiliation is a special bond and you never know the places it can take you!

2. Experience

Chapters provide countless opportunities to be an involved member. Men and women are able to be chapter officers, committee members, or chapter delegates. These experiences expose members to interview environments, public speaking, teamwork and team management. Philanthropic organizations provide you with service experience as well as community engagement. Did you know seeing Fraternity/Sorority letters on a resume is often a huge selling point to some companies? They recognize the leadership and standards a Fraternity man and Sorority woman has and sees them as an asset.

3.     Time-management

College gets busy; it’s no secret. Prioritizing and managing our personal and academic schedule has become so much easier. Given affiliated students often have busy schedules we must learn to balance all important aspects of our lives. Most members balance work, school, sorority/fraternity, being an officer or involved in other clubs and still are able to excel! Learning this helpful skill now is only setting us up for success in the future.
