Fall 2021 Registration: Tips & Tricks

Can you believe it’s that time again? Fall 2021 registration is right around the corner! Lucky for you, we’re here to give you the tips, tricks, and reminders that will have your registration appointment go as smoothly as possible!

Step 1: Meet with your academic counselor ASAP

SSU’s advisors are happy to help! If you haven’t already, set up a time to meet with your academic advisor, to get all of your pressing questions answered before your registration date. Meeting with your advisor will help ease stress and give you clarity on your future class schedule!

Step 2: Take a look at your Advisement Report

Understanding your Advisement Report = the key to success! Your Advisement Report is found on MySSU, and is the blueprint of requirements that you have met, and requirements that still need to be completed. Need help reading your report, check out SSU’s Reading Your ARP resource. It’s time to turn those red squares to green checks!

Step 3: Visit Seawolf Scheduler

Seawolf Scheduler makes everything easier! Explore courses, read class descriptions, and filter to fit your requirements. Seawolf Scheduler is your one-stop-shop for a successful registration! Tip: Be sure to “heart” your favorite class schedule, so that it’s easy to access at all times!

Step 4: Make back-up plans

Preparing before your registration appointment is crucial. It is always a good idea to have a back-up plan! When it comes to registration, having plans B, C, and D makes you prepared for any changes that may come your way. The beauty of Seawolf Scheduler is that you can have up to 5 favorited schedules!

Step 5: Take a deep breath (or two)

There is no doubt that registering for classes can be a stressful time. This is your reminder to take a deep breath, and relax. Remember to set a notification on your phone to notify you 10-15 minutes before your registration appointment. This way, you will have plenty of time to adjust your schedule as needed. Step 6: Import shopping cart to register!

It’s go time! Once you have found a schedule that you like on Seawolf Scheduler, simply import it to your shopping cart. MySSU will translate the course numbers, so all you have to do is click proceed!
