Sonoma Mountain

How could you be disappointed with valley views to your right, and ocean views to your left, all under a glowing sunset sky? Only a 30 minute drive from Sonoma State’s campus, Sonoma Mountain looks over Rohnert Park, Petaluma, and Penngrove, with Sonoma Valley and the Pacific Ocean in the distance. Sonoma Mountain is the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the best county of all!

The Laguna de Santa Rosa

Talk about a picture perfect sunset spot! This 254-square-mile wetland community has thousands of different native trees and plants. The Laguna encompasses all of Santa Rosa, and parts of Rohnert Park, Windsor, Forestville, and Sebastopol. The best location to catch the beautiful colors of the sunset sky is on Laguna de Santa Rosa’s pedestrian hiking trail!
