Get Ready To Spring Forward
It’s that time of the year again when we have to set our clocks an hour ahead and SPRING FORWARD on March 12th, 2023! Well, if you are like any of us, losing an hour of sleep can be rough - especially for college students! We want YOU to feel prepared this time around and get all the tips and tricks to make this time change, an easy one! Let’s see what we got!
Set Your Clocks One Hour Ahead!
Before you go to bed, use the old trick of already setting your alarm clock or any other clocks in your home, an hour forward. Then you won’t wake up in a panic thinking you were late for work, class, or an event! This is truly helpful and can ease a lot of stress that can be accumulated. Since your phones already automatically reset the time, make sure to set them ALL. This is because there’s nothing like the feeling of looking at your car clock and panicking until you remember it’s wrong!
Start Ending Your Night Early…A WEEK EARLY!
Most people think they need to adjust for the time change ONLY the night before, BUT what’s really beneficial is to start ending your night 15-30 mins earlier than you normally would during the week leading up. This sets you up for success when you try to go to bed earlier than you would on the night before the change! Plus a little extra sleep or quiet time never hurts!
Set A Reminder!
This one is IMPORTANT! Almost everyone ends up forgetting the night before the time change, making them wake up in a fright! So if you take anything away from this blog, let it be to set a reminder, alarm, or notification that the time change is on March 12th. Set one for the night or week prior so you can follow the tips above and have a smooth time change this year!
We hope this helped Seawolves and have fun Springing Forward!!
