Join us for “The Mitzvah Project,” a theater event, on Monday, November 9, 1-2 p.m. and let’s talk about what we can learn from German history to stop racial injustice today!
The SSU German Program invites you to remember the infamous Kristallnacht/Night of Shattered Glass on November 9, 1938, and calls on all of us to fight against continued racial violence. "The Mitzvah Project" focuses on the fate of tens of thousands of “Mischlinge” (half Jewish/non-Jewish people) who fought in Hitler's army and yet were murdered in Nazi concentration camps.
Playwright and actor Roger Grunwald will share his one-person play, directed by Annie McGreevey, via Zoom, followed by a brief lecture and time for discussion.
