Grey Batie, a queer black transgender doctoral student, discusses their experiences within academia, and how they’ve carved out a space for themselves and their unique identities. Topics include micro-aggressions, imposter syndrome, burnout, mental health, and suggestions for how to make the STEM fields a place where everyone feels comfortable, seen, and respected.
