Academic Success Resource: LARC: Learning & Academic Resource Center

The LARC (Learning and Academic Resource Center) houses three academic support programs for students: the Tutorial Program, Supplemental Instruction Program, and the Writing Center. All LARC services are available ONLINE during the Fall 2020 term. The LARC peer tutors and SI Leaders provide a dynamic, supportive learning environment for undergraduate and graduate students. Come chat with us about how you can get help on your essays, study for math tests, and find collaborative study groups for those challenging courses. We are here to support you in being a successful SSU student! Attend one of two sessions on Tuesday, Sept. 1st from 3:00pm-4:00pm and Thursday, Sept. 3rd from 2:00pm-3:00pm

Academic Success Resource: Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) 

Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) at Sonoma State University is part of a nationally recognized academic support program that provides a resilient learning community and strong base to students in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM). The goal of MESA is to increase the number of historically underrepresented students who pursue and persist in STEM-related degrees and ultimately, careers. Throughout their studies, the students in the program receive academic support and personal advising to keep them on track towards their degrees. MESA students engage in “high impact” experiences, such as undergraduate research, tutoring, mentoring, and leadership development. MESA serves students regardless of citizenship status. This academic community is what sets MESA apart from other programs. All majors welcome to receive tutoring assistance in lower-division math and science courses via Zoom!
