Mental Health awareness week will be November 9th-13th. This is a time to promote the well-being of the students and we have a variety of events during the week that will aim at educating students around topics of mental health, prompting healthy habits, support students who are struggling, and empowering students to be able to talk about this impactful topic that is often kept in the dark. On Monday we will be showing the movie Happy in Stevenson 1002 at8pm. Tuesday will be the Mental Health promotion fair in the seawolf plaza and this will feature helpful resources, live music and therapy dogs! Also on Tuesday at 12 pm in the HUB we have EmBodied: Positive Queer Body Image and a self-Compassion Workshop in the Student Center at 3pm. Thursday we will have the QPR Suicide Prevention Training in the Student Center at 3pm and you do have to sign up for that in advance so if you are interested contact Joe at CAPS. Thursday from 5-7 in the Cooperage there will be a self-love and compassion through art workshop, as well as 6:30pm Meditation for the Mind and Heart at the Rec Center. Hopefully you will come and support each other and ourselves at the events that are offered.
