You may have heard that the Pythagorean Theorem was known to many ancient cultures long before the life of Pythagoras, but did you know that Bernoulli numbers were discovered by a Japanese mathematician, 10 years before Bernoulli? This talk will focus on the life and mathematical accomplishments of Seki Takakazu.
