CalSERVES looking for SSU Volunteers

CalSERVES is a not-for-profit educational organization that delivers after-school enrichment programs for low-income and first-generation students. The program runs daily from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm and is designed to serve the most high-need students in our district, providing them with homework help, physical education programs and the importance of nutrition. In addition, art, science, literacy and music programs are also incorporated into the curriculum.  

Currently CalServes is in need of volunteers to spend some time running a club with the students. Every Wednesday and Friday we hold club times from 3:30-4: 30 pm. We are specifically looking for a group who could come April 11th, 13th, 18th and 20th. We rely on volunteers and love having them interact with the kids to teach them new skills while having fun!
