  1. Student Peer Advising:

    Are you interested in becoming a Student Peer Advisor? They are hiring four students for Fall 2019 and will begin accepting applicants in March and April!

To apply, applicants will need to submit a resume, cover letter, and tentative availability.

Students Peer Advisors make up to $15.00 an hour

Maintain a minimum 2.750 GPA and Good Academic Standing

  • Minimum one-year commitment required, e.g., Fall 2018 and Spring 2019

  • Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate-standing, i.e., 30+ units completed

  • Preferred on-campus student leadership experience

  • Preferred completion of, or concurrent enrollment in, UNIV 237 and/or UNIV 238

  • Knowledge of policies and procedures related to campus academic advising

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to work in multicultural and multiethnic school environments

  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations in both one-on-one and small group situations

  • Ability to provide exceptional service to students, staff, faculty, and community members

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records and communications

4. Associated Students Applications close on March 1, 2019 at 10:00 am via Handshake

Must be available to work for the 18/19, and 19/20 Academic Year

  • Work independently on projects assigned by the Executive Director, including but not limited to, policy and procedure review and recommendation, analysis, editing and review, correspondence and communications, and office organization and maintenance.

  • Assist the AS Executive Director with duties related to operation of the corporation, committees, document production, correspondence, office management, etc.

  • Maintain and organize documents.

  • Organize complex financial data, corporate recommendations and other projects for public presentation.

  • Maintain highest level of discretion and decorum.

  • Must have ability to organize their own time and work assignments.

  • Assist students, AS officers, faculty, administrators, staff, and the public in areas assigned by the Executive Director.

  • Maintain and organize the schedule and office of the AS Executive Director.

  • Work with AS programs to produce reports, information and data for consideration by the AS Senate, as assigned by the AS Executive Director.
