Cultural Grad Registration is LIVE

What is Cultural Grad?

Cultural Grad celebrations are opportunities for affinity groups to come together and acknowledge graduating students’ accomplishments. For many with underrepresented identities, particularly for those we host celebrations for (i.e., Latinx, Black, Asian American Pacific Islander, & Middle Eastern, and Queer), a college diploma often represents a long road marked by hard work and success – not just for individual students, but also for family, friends, and supporters.

These smaller events provide intimate settings for students to share these personal milestones with their loved ones, and for us as an institution to honor them, their journey at SSU, and their support systems. While we know that each person has multiple identities that may not fit neatly into boxes, we understand the importance of celebrating these moments within our communities.

Please note, Cultural Grad ceremonies are not required, and they do not take the place of the university's commencement.

Cultural Grad Forms:

**Students are allow to participate in more than one ceremony, but must fill out a registration for each.

Please note: Registration forms are due Sunday, March 22nd by 11:59pm.
