Registration Tips From Your Friends At SL

Can you believe it’s that time? Registering for Spring classes begins the week of November 15 and the SL Squad is here to help YOU feel prepared and ready to tackle enrollment. Check out our tips for a smooth and easy registration. (We’re aiming for all green check marks in MySSU, right?)

Sophia’s Tips

Tip #1: Take a look at Seawolf Scheduler ahead of time so that you can plan out multiple schedules in case classes fill up quickly.

Tip #2: Always join the waitlist if a class fills up; you never know, the professor could be willing to add you in!

Caitlin’s Tips

Tip #3: Remember to take a look at 1 unit classes, along with your other required courses. There are a lot of interesting lecture series’ and fun exercise classes that can be taken for credit!

Tip #4: Make an appointment with your advisor as early as possible, and come prepared with a list of classes you are interested in, along with any questions you may have before registering.

Alexis’s Tips

Tip #5: Log in to MySSU a few minutes earlier than your designated registration time. Since there are a lot of people registering, sometimes the system can be slower than normal… Don’t panic!

Tip #6: Be sure to look out for any course restrictions in Seawolf Scheduler before adding the classes to your cart.

Casey’s Tips

Tip #7: Make sure to take a look at your registration time as soon as possible. This will give you time to communicate with professors or work supervisors if you need to step out for a few minutes.

Tip #8: Take a deep breath. Registering for classes can be stressful, but know that everything will work out!

Matille’s Tips

Tip #9: Take a look at your advisement report before searching for classes so that you stay on track and meet all of your major requirements!

Tip #10: Remember that the 4 year plan is not for everyone; don’t be too hard on yourself to graduate, it will happen no matter what.

Valentina’s Tips

Tip #11: Meet with your advisor early on to figure out a plan that works best for you!

Tip #12: Make sure that you have no holds on your SSU account so that you can register on time!

We hope that our tips made you feel at ease for Spring registration. You’ve got this!
