Who’s down for a day trip? The beauty of going to Sonoma State is that campus is so close to major cities, so you’ll never get bored and there are always places to adventure! Napa is just 40 minutes from SSU and is a great spot to go shopping and take pictures! Napa is also home to beautiful vineyards and downtown restaurants.
Experience the city life in good old San Francisco! Take photos as the sun rises at the Golden Gate Bridge, visit Chinatown, or have a picnic near the Fine Arts Museum. There is so much to do in SF that you may need to take more than one day trip to the city!
Grasp the hometown feeling as you walk the streets of Healdsburg. With local parks, the infamous Wine Road, the Russian River, and more, there is something for everyone! Healdsburg is a short drive north of SSU’s campus.
Calling all beach bums! Whether you have missed the ocean breeze after being out of the area for the past year, or you are completely new to the ocean views of Sonoma, Bodega Bay never disappoints. Bring a lunch from Oliver’s Market for a picnic, or grab a blanket and watch the sun set over the water for a truly unforgettable time.

Bring out your inner child at Scandia Family Fun Center! With mini golf, arcade games, and batting cages, there is an endless amount of good times at Scandia. Grab your roommates for a night of fun and friendly competition!
