Interested in meal prepping, but feel intimidated by it or didn’t know how? Many think you have to be a health nut in order to do meal prepping, yet the idea of meal prep is to help save time and be a convenience for those who don’t have time to spend an hour making dinner every night. We as college students often have a lot on our plates between classes, school work, jobs, and our outside lives all in which make it hard to prioritize our own needs. So we thought about rounding up some ideas and here are the best, easiest, and cheapest meal ideas that taste insanely good!
Breakfast Anyone?
Like everyone says, breakfast is the most important part of the day. Though it is, many don’t have time in the morning to make a whole meal. This is where meal prep comes in handy! So let’s start rounding up some ideas!
OVERNIGHT OATS
Overnight oats are a great way fill you up and a great grab & go breakfast! They are great because you can change up your toppings and add-ins for each day!
SMOOTHIE IN A BAG
Smoothies can be a hassle finding all the ingredients and can take time to put them all away. So throw it all in a bag! Pre-fill plastic bags with all your ingredients pre-proportioned and freeze them! That way you can throw it in a blender and add a liquid, quick and easy!
FROZEN BREAKFAST BURRITOS
Who doesn’t love a good breakfast burrito? Well this one is one you can guess. Pre-make some breakfast burritos and throw them in the freezer! Anytime you want one, just throw it in the microwave and go!
YOGURT PARTFAIT
Yogurt parfaits are often sold at the store, yet you can pre-make your own for cheaper! You can add whatever you want and change it up for each day. It’s another grab & go breakfast!

ADULT LUNCHABLES
Who said lunchables are only for kids? Not us! Gather all your favorite snacks and between protein, carbs, and some sweets…you got yourself a killer lunchable! Now you can take it on the go!
MUFFINS & POWER BALLS
Muffins are a great way to hold you over till your next meal! What are power balls you ask? They are essentially the same as a muffin, just (safely) uncooked! Both make your “GO! GO! GO!” life easier! Just pre-make some before the week and they will come in handy when you just need a little something!
WRAPS
Wraps are a great take on the typical sandwich, yet there is no bread to get soggy! Pre-make some wraps before the start of the week with your fav ingredients! (You can freeze them ahead too)
DINNER OH DINNER!
STIR FRY
Love veggies and meat with a little sauce? Well make yourself some stir fry why don’t ya! This is a great option because it’s so easy to cook up a big batch and separate in containers for the week!
PASTA
Who doesn’t love a good pasta dish? Pre-make your favorite pasta recipe for the week and pre-proportion into separate meals!
BOWLS
What do we mean by bowls you ask? This can be the classic rice, meat/beans, & veggies bowls OR something like a taco bowl! Put your desired ingredients into containers and take your “bowl” on the go!
SOUP
Soup is one of those dishes that leave you FULL after your meal. Make a big stew or veggie soup at the begging of the week and voilà! Every night, dinner is served!
