Seawolves Staying Fit

Being a busy college student and staying healthy at the same time can take a lot of extra effort and time. Yet, prioritizing your fitness and health during your time in college is crucial for a variety of reasons. Staying active can be a game-changer for your mental health, reducing stress, and improving your mood. Plus it’s a great way to meet new people! We want to fill you in on a few ways YOU can stay fit here at SSU!


VISIT THE REC CENTER

The Rec Center truly has it all when it comes to getting healthy and staying fit. They offer so much including Group Fitness Classes, Intramural Sports, an Aquatics Pool, a Rock Wall, an Indoor Track & Court, and a fully-filled gym with equipment galore! The Rec Center wants you to feel like the best version of yourself after leaving, so give it a try!


WALKING AROUND OUR SCENIC CAMPUS

When you ask most people one of the top reasons why they chose Sonoma State, many will answer, “Because of how beautiful the campus is!” So embrace the beauty on this campus and go for a walk! Walking is so healthy not only for your body, but your mind too! Enjoy a walk alone or with a buddy. After a long day at school and/or work, try taking a long walk around campus and enjoying the fresh air and nature around you! Doesn’t that sound nice?


STAYING HEALTHY AT THE KITCHENS

Food is half of the journey to staying healthy! One of the amazing things that we have right here at SSU is an all-you-care-to-eat dining hall! They have so many healthy options and every day serve fresh produce and balanced meals. So head over to the Kitchens for a meal that will support your health goals! Plus, you can always enjoy a treat here and there 😉!
