Seawolf Spirituality and Social Services Fair

Manifest your goals and tell the universe what you need this semester. With this fair, we hope to help our Seawolf community find healing, mindful, and divine-feeling spaces to practice their beliefs. This is an occasion for ALL faiths, denominations, and followers of religious practice to show SSU what opportunities are available on campus and within the surrounding communities. This year we will host local faith-based social service agencies who can connect students with further resources within Sonoma County. You do not need to be affiliated with a faith group to utilize these services. Everyone is welcome. Prizes encouraging balance, good energy, and reflection will be raffled off for participating students.  For more info, contact mo.phillips@sonoma.edu.

Seawolf SAFE SSU Fair

Seawolf SAFE SSU Fair

What do I do if there is an earthquake or fire? Do I have to throw everything in my refrigerator away if we have a power outage? What should I pack in a go bag in case we get evacuated? Why is the water yellow in some of the toilets? What does shelter in place mean and why would the university tell us to do it? How can I stop a friend from making a really bad decision at this party? Where do I go to report bias or sexual assault?

As you make this transition to SSU for the first year, or even as a  returning Seawolf, you know that there are times where you will be faced with some challenges and decisions on how best to take care of yourself. Sonoma County is beautiful, but we also want to make sure you are prepared for some of the challenges and decisions you might be faced with while living here. Join us as campus, local, and county resources gather to share information and education about fires, power outages, smoke, earthquakes, and more.  We hope that this fair  will help you be prepared when you are in the moment. Plus, if you come, you are guaranteed to get some FREE stuff!!! For more information, contact mo.phillips@sonoma.edu
