YOUR Guide to Campus Resources

Here at Sonoma State, there are a ton of resources for students. But where do you find them and how can you utilize them? We understand that sometimes it can be overwhelming to know where all of your campus resources are when you need them. Consider this YOUR guide to campus resources! Let’s check out some places on campus you can go to improve your health and wellbeing…

NOMA CARES

If I was in need of some help, Noma Cares Central would be my first stop. Noma Cares Central is your one-stop shop for support. It provides support for students in crisis and students with emergencies. Under the Noma Cares “umbrella” you’ll find a variety of resources such as…

  • Basic Needs

    • Basic Needs strives to help students who are food insecure, housing insecure, or have an overall emergency.

  • CalFresh

    • CalFresh serves as a nutrition program and can provide eligible students with a monthly allowance for groceries.

  • Care Team

    • The Care Team works with students dealing with hardships to devise a plan for academic success and growth.

  • Confidential Advocate

    • Confidential advocacy helps students who may be facing sexual assault, stalking, harassment, and more, all while staying anonymous.

  • Career Closet (hosted by the Career Center)

    • The Career Closet offers FREE professionally appropriate clothing to students who are searching for jobs to help support them in their employment goals. Each student can choose one new item per term.

You can find Noma Cares central in Zinfandel, across from the mailroom.

LOBO’S PANTRY

Lobo’s Pantry is also located in Zinfandel Village. It is run by Associated Students and provides food and hygiene products to SSU students, free of cost! Students can shop in the pantry once a week using their student ID.

They also have assembled a cookbook for college students, that includes dishes you can create using products from Lobo’s Pantry!
